“We enjoyed our stay at Geelong. The location was perfect – so close to the beach, plus a short drive to Kerfany where we enjoyed not only the beach but the restaurant and creperie. The villa’s pool, hot tub, games room and terraces were enjoyed very much by all of our party. Booking and arrival were very straightforward and pleasant. There was one fan but all bedrooms would benefit from one, as it quickly becomes very stuffy with the doors / windows shut as is required to keep mosquitoes out. Ceiling fans downstairs would be a good addition.”

“We enjoyed our stay at Geelong. Apart from a few minor hiccups at the start to do with the electrics the accommodation and facilities were very good. Final directions could be improved; we had to phone Vanessa the keyholder twice for clarification. She was extremely efficient, helpful and most welcoming. We found the service you provided excellent. Because of the success we would like to arrange a return visit next year (preferably not the most expensive week!).”

“The villa is very well located very close to the sea and coastal paths. The southern Brittany region is magnificent (I knew northern Brittany). The pool at the villa is superb. The house itself is well designed and pleasant. The garden is well enclosed but unfortunately very dry with the heat wave. We had a very good stay. Your reservation process is perfect nothing to say. The host is very friendly.”

“We enjoyed our stay at Geelong very much. We loved the beaches nearby and ate some amazing food in nearby restaurants although taxi fares here are extremely expensive. Lots of places to visit like pony Evan. The villa is roomy with large garden if you have kids. It happened to be very hot while we were there do it would have been nice to have a ceiling fan in the bedrooms. Some things are a little tired like bedding but it was clean and we would definitely return sometime. Vanessa was very helpful and pleasant to deal with as was Christophe at Select Villas. As Covid interrupted our original plans he helped us rearrange the holiday twice and was always on hand to help with any problems.”

”We had a good relaxing time, pity about the weather. On arrival we were greeted by the male and was shown into the house and made very welcome. The house was presentable and comfortable, rental properties do need to be worked on each year, but this is France. We found some excellent restaurants in the surrounding areas and only two in Moelan sur Mer both excellent, in one of them the owner chef used to work in one of the top restaurants in Paris. It was very interesting talking to him. Brittany is always the same, unless you are in towns you always a long way from places.”

“We had a brilliant holiday thank you and found your service and communication throughout both efficient and friendly. We have no complaints whatsoever in this regard. The key holder was also very friendly and welcoming. Our only observations were that it would have been helpful to have been given the details of the key box from the start as we only had one set of keys and we had to contact Vanessa subsequently for the details. The pool was also a little chilly unfortunately but I suspect this was because the weather dipped a little our week. We weren’t sure if there was a way of increasing the temperature. The DVD player also didn’t seem to work but this wasn’t a problem, I just thought I’d let you know. ”

“Geelong is in a great location for access to “rustic” beaches and the coastline is dog friendly, although dogs are not allowed on the local patrolled beach. A summer rental is expensive. The amenities are good but a little tired such as peeling wallpaper, marked paintwork, laminating kitchen surfaces, ripped pillow case. The description does not indicate that there are only 2 toilets and the one upstairs is shared by 7 (there are 2 showers upstairs though)! Perhaps most disappointing was when we came to leave and stripped the beds. The cleanliness of the undersheets was very poor and looked as if they are not regularly washed. Both Ali and felt that the maintenance quality (plenty of blown light bulbs for example to add to the comments above) did not match the “top end” rental price tag. Towels were good quality, the bed linen should move upmarket as well.”
