”The villa was clean, spacious and well equipped. The staff were efficient and friendly, could not fault them. The residence was quiet and secluded but close to amenities, a 20 minute walk through the pine woods to the stunning beach, 20 mins to amenities or 5 minute drive. Lots of activities close by for the kids to do. Would thoroughly recommend. The area was peaceful but there was a lot of activities if you wanted them. Would certainly visit in the future again. No mosquitos which was great. I think the large toad that decided to jump in the swimming pool and I rescued in a bucket was one of the highlight for the kids!! He was huge.”

“La Prade was fine and we had a lovely time with my sister and her family. The main positive things were the delightful staff in the reception who couldn’t have been nicer, the location close to the quieter bit of beach, we loved all the cycle routes and really enjoyed not using the car for the week, great waves and fun high wire place. Our main complaint was the cleanliness of the villa. When we arrived it smelt sweaty and slightly damp. The policy of charging such a lot for an end of week clean (288 euros I think) means that most people will try and do a rushed clean when they pack up to leave and as we only had minimal cleaning products and very limited time (we had to be ready for inspection by 9.20am) it was impossible to do a really thorough clean. We certainly felt we had left it cleaner than we found it but I imagine over a whole season of shoddy partial cleans the villa is never going to be really thoroughly blitzed and will always have that sweaty, well used feel for people when they arrive. Surely it would make more sense to include the cost of a clean into the rental so the villas can have a really proper clean every week. If we were to return it certainly wouldn’t be in August as it was way too crowded, but we were constrained by other events this year so it was unavoidable.”

“We enjoyed our stay very much! Everything was really good except the price a bit high and the distance from the beach which is 2.5 km and not 1.5 as stated in the ad. We had a great stay and the welcome and services were very good.”

“Excellent accommodation in beautiful relaxing surroundings. The villa was spacious with a good-sized clean pool and a decent garden which allowed plenty of room to relax and enjoy our stay in privacy. The beds were comfortable and the house was nice and cool. The location is excellent with a lovely sandy beach (miles long) within a 10-15 minute walk. Shops are also within a 15-minute walk and the supermarket (reasonably priced) is just a 5 minute drive away. We were able to hire bikes and cycle safely along interesting paths through the village, the forest and around the golf courses. Fresh croissants and baguettes can be collected from Select Villas’ office each morning (if you order them the previous evening). The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There are a number of good restaurants in the area also.”

“Amazing Autumnal two week stay. The location was delightful with the villa benefiting from an elevated position. The accommodation was clean, tidy and spacious. The resort staff were friendly and well organised. The area is a particular favourite of ours and did not fail to impress. Long sandy beaches, pine forests to explore and bike paths everywhere. Finally, booking the villa was efficient and friendly. We would recommend!”

“We all enjoyed our stay at your villa. We found it spacious and comfortable. It was very well equipped for our needs…The staff on reception were all very friendly and helpful. We phoned on the day we arrived as we were late arriving due to taking a wrong turn! However they waited for us to arrive and settled us in. We had a bedside light which kept flickering and it was quickly taken away and repaired. All very efficient. All in all we were very happy with the villa, the staff and the domain. We had a very relaxing holiday and didn’t want to leave. Your help before we booked was much appreciated.”

“We had a great time in Aquitaine and found the villa clean and quiet. The garden and pool were also a good size and not overlooked…We hired bikes for the week and enjoyed cycling to the beach/village/lake nearby, and to the village of Messanges about 5km away, which also had a nice beach.”

’The villa was more than we expected, the location nestled within the trees is just stunning and so peaceful. Very clean inside, as was the superb pool area. The reception staff were so helpful as were the pool attendants. It’s a great find and we hope to return next year. Christophe was well organised with the booking arrangements and all ran smoothly. I would have no hesitation in recommending this villa.’

“The first thing I must say about this holiday was the first class service from the moment we first enquired about the property until the moment we received an email after we arrived home. Everybody was very helpful even arranging an appointment with a local vet, for our dog, before we arrived. The accommodation was all that was expected and felt more like a home than a holiday villa. The area is stunning with a beach of miles and miles and golden sand. The surrounding forests are great for anyone who likes walking/cycling. We had one of the most relaxing holidays we have ever had and that includes a 3 year old! The pool was clean and checked every 2-3 days. And the weather was hot!!! We would recommend this villa and area to anyone and it is topped off by a helpful friendly team on site.”

The staff was friendly and competent. The golf and the beach are quite near. We would recommend it to friends and we would also come back again.”
