This large villa has been fully and tastefully renovated in 2016 and benefits from a lovely covered heated pool. The well-presented property in the seaside resort of in Saint Pol de Léon has many areas in which to relax with friends and family or simply enjoy reading a book in peace. The garden is enclosed and next to the villa is a large park benefiting from a stunning view overlooking the sea and from where you can enjoy stunning sunrises.
There is a safe sandy beach 1km away which can be accessed via a footpath. The town is very pleasant in summer and boasts an historic past including a Gothic cathedral with its twin towers dominate the landscape. There are also lovely coastal walks from the nearby beach along the Promenade de Penarth to Saint-Anne island.
There are numerous opportunities to do various water sports including windsurfing, bodysurfing, stand-up paddle, kayak as well as a sailing centre located at the tip of the island.
Nearby Roscoff is more than just a ferry port (sailings to and from Plymouth). Attractive 16th century granite buildings nestle against the coastline, the streets filled with restaurants, bars, charming little art galleries and gift shops. Across a narrow stretch of water from the quaint harbour is the tiny Ile de Batz, a beautiful island well worth a visit. Roscoff is also home to La Maison des Johnnies et de l'Oignon de Roscoff, a 'Museum of the Onion Johnnies', the well-known onion merchants who arrived in Britain on their bicycles selling onions door-to-door who made famous the caricature image of the Frenchman in a beret on a bike laden with onions.

French door leading to large veranda with dining area and relaxing area with a 2-seater sofa and 2 armchairs. Sliding doors from the veranda lead to the terrace and pool. From the living room there are 3 steps up to the dining room. The unusual and imposing fireplace is located between the living and dining room. Free wood is provided. Stairs to first floor landing area with a small pool table. Three further steps up to living area with 3-seater sofa, TV, DVD player and chess board game.
Kitchen Separate kitchen with American breakfast bar. Dishwasher, fridge-freezer, oven, microwave, induction hob, kettle, coffee machine and toaster. Laundry room with washing machine, dryer, iron, ironing board and vacuum.

Three steps down from landing to Bedroom 1: Queen size bed (160cm x 200cm).

Changeover day
Arrival Saturday between 4-7pm (late arrivals can be arranged but must be requested at least a month in advance). Checkout by 10am.
Non Saturday arrivals and departures can be requested from January to May and October to December. Please ask us for details.
Other charges Security deposit of 1000€ payable on arrival and refunded on departure once an inventory has been made.

Other facilities & attractions Saint Pol de Leon
Several local coastal paths offer opportunities for walking along the sea and make the most of the beautiful scenery and ever changing coastal landscape. You can hop on the Brittany Coastal Path (GR34) which runs for 1600km. A little further (30 minute drive) there is a lovely walk where you can visit La Maison des Gardes de Lavillo in Cléder and Roguennic beach.
Roscoff (5km)
The seaside town of Roscoff is a picturesque and charming port, home of the onion Johnnies. In August the town goes onion crazy with the Fête de l’Onion and you enjoy onions in all their forms whether in a classic onion soup or a tart. Other attractions include the wonderful botanical garden, a 10 minute walk from the centre of town and Sainte Barbe’s Chapel, situated on a rocky headland offering panoramic views of Roscoff, the coastline and Ile de Batz. There are numerous restaurants in town where you can enjoy the famous crepes bretonnes and taste fresh fish and seafood.
Ile de Batz
Ile de Batz is a small, pretty island situated opposite Roscoff and accessed by a 15 minute boat crossing. There are several walks on this mainly car free island which is less than 4km long and superb far-reaching views from the lighthouse.
Morlaix (20km) A medieval town nestling on an estuary with an impressive 19th century railway viaduct. Morlaix has a very historic centre with cobbled streets, half-timber houses and nearby a beautiful bay. Visit the imposing Chateau du Taureau, take a boat trip out to the seven small islets which are an ornithology reserve. Stroll across the charming Ile de Callot at low tide and discover the pretty coves and beaches scattered along its shore
Oceanopolis, Brest (65km)
Large aquarium with marine wildlife in tropical, temperate and polar zones, including 7 shark species.
Huelgoat (55km)
In under an hour you can visit the Enchanted Forest of Huelgoat 48km.
NEARBY ACTIVITIES
Local water sports for all ages in the Centre Nautique in Saint Pol de Léon. Possibility to hire catamarans, windsurfing, bodysurfing, stand-up paddle, kayak and many other sports. Saint Pol de Léon is ideal for water sports as it offers a safe environment in Morlaix Bay although it is possible for more experienced water sports aficionados to head further out and enjoy a more open sea and wonderful natural scenery.
Dossen sailing centre (6km) offers water sports for the more adventurous including kite surfing on Dossen beach.
Multi level dives available to discover Carantec Bay’s fabulous seabed (11km).
Carentec Golf Course. A nine hole golf course in a great setting on Morlaix Bay, yet sheltered by the winds. Open year round. For golfers of all abilities.
