The property sleeps 14 comfortably in 7 bedrooms, ideal for either 2 to 3 families sharing or equally suitable for 3 to 4 couples.
The house is located at the edge of a pine forest and 2.5 kms from the small, ancient village of Villeneuve which overlooks the Durance valley. Just 10 kms away is the bustling medieval town of Forcalquier with a good choice of restaurants, bars and cafés and a fantastic weekly market on a Monday.
There are plenty of outdoor activities available in the area, with lovely walks in and around Villeneuve, miles of mountain bike routes, horse-riding and canoeing as well as excellent golf courses at nearby Niozelles and also at Manosque, Aix en Provence and Gap.
There are many places of interest within easy reach such as the historic city of Aix en Provence, the beautiful perched village of Bonnieux, the dramatic Gorges du Verdon and the stunning coastline between Marseille and Cassis.The famous lavender fields on the Valensole plateau are just 45 minutes' away, a must to visit late June or July.
Marseille airport is just 80 minutes away by car a direct TGV service in the summer from London to Marseille, Aix en Provence and Avignon.
Please note: Dogs only accepted by arrangement (no other animals). Dogs must be kept under control - not on beds, furniture or in the pool.

DAY TRIP IDEAS: The unique and spectacular GORGES DU VERDON (75 minutes) with its lakes - Sainte Croix being the best known. Other lakes include the lake of Esparron, a superb lake considered by many as the ‘Perle du Verdon’. This is a stunning lake of clear, aqua-marine water for amazing swims and a great place to have picnics by. Lots of water sports available from sailing, windsurfing to pedalos and self-drive electric boats or the guided tour of the lake in a tourist boat. Other lakes include Quinson, Artignosc and Castillon also with water sport and various activities such as hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, or simply enjoy the outstanding scenery. DAY TRIP TO THE SEASIDE in Sanary-sur-Mer, Bandol, La Ciotat and/or Cassis with an array of cosy seafood restaurants. Cassis beaches: From Plage du Bestouan on the west side of the harbour or Plage de la Grande Mer: a sandy beach beneath the Chateau.
