“The villa is truly magnificent. As it happened, the weather was warm and sunny (just one day of rain) and we didn’t need to test the heating. Also, because there were so many of us the evenings were spent entertaining ourselves and the TV wasn’t even switched on once! Probably just as well since this was situated in the small drawing room and would have been difficult to view by more than a few. The wifi throughout the house was good – once you had realised that there were different connections in different places. All the bedrooms were excellent and the cleaning lady, and laundry requirements, were also very good.
The swimming pool is a good size and was well used throughout. However, this is our one ‘complaint’ – it was cold! One of the attractions of the property was the heated swimming pool and, whatever the temperature was, it didn’t give the impression of being heated – apart from the specific suggestion to leave it open to the sun during the day. The boules and table-tennis were nice to have.
The major accolade goes to our chef, Susan, and her assistant Nora. Susan was absolutely wonderful and kept us supplied with meals that were of the highest quality – including coping with our four vegan members without batting an eyelid. We all tried to persuade her to come and look after us back home!
We appreciated your own advice, and particularly your recommendation to hire Susan, but feel that more help organising our travel would have been useful. We did arrange all this but, particularly traversing Paris with large suitcases and not allowing quite enough time for comfort, was difficult – and we are now a lot wiser.
We did have an amazing holiday and glad that we managed to book it through you.”
