About the Property:

Villa de Brenduff is located 600m from the nearest ‘aber’ or estuary which is set next to a nature reserve. It is an easy walk to the aber and a lovely peaceful spot to be enjoyed especially first thing in the morning. A selection of lovely nearby sandy beaches are between 1.8km and 7km from the villa.

A short 5-10 minute walk takes you to a lovely stretch of coastline where you can enjoy watching the small boats go by. A 20-minute walk in the other direction or three minutes in the car will take you to the nearest small supermarket and a very delicious chocolate making shop in Saint Pabu. There are riding schools, a surfing school nearby along with a range of water sports on offer such as kayaking, yachting, paddle boarding and more.

The property, set on two levels, has been renovated in a modern style and to a high standard. Extra touches include welcome presents for adults and for your four-legged friend on arrival. It is those small things that make a difference and that make a stay at this property somewhat different.

Whilst there are four bedrooms and three bathrooms the capacity has been restricted to four people, but the owner will accept an additional two people. Prices shown online are based on four people. Prices for five or six people, please contact us for details. Discounts may be available for long stays outside of high season for one or two people.

With one spacious bedroom and en suite bathroom on the ground floor, a very roomy living/dining area with an excellent and large wood burner keeping you warm during the cold months and a functional modern kitchen with a utility room, the whole ground floor almost has ground-level access from the street, this property will suit most people including those with mobility issues. Please do ask should you have any specific requirements.

The house is south-east-facing and has a lovely, enclosed garden with lawn, electric gate, outdoor furniture and barbecue.
To the side of the house there is a very pleasant south-east facing terrace from where you can enjoy the surrounding views. The property is not overlooked which makes it even more enjoyable.

If you need to access your work, there is a designated office area on the first floor with desk and USB charging unit which you may find useful should you decide on a long stay at the property with a combination of work and holiday.

Located in a peaceful setting, this is the ideal place to unwind and enjoy the surrounding natural beauty. A couple of restaurants, a bar, newsagent, pharmacy and a hairdresser are within 2km away in the village of Saint Pabu. There is a wider choice of restaurants within ten minutes’ easy drive from the property in the village of Ploudalmezeau or Lannilis with its famous Wednesday morning market.

The ferry port of Roscoff is about an hour away. Of course, Roscoff is more than just a ferry port (sailings to and from Plymouth). Attractive 16th century granite buildings nestle against the coastline, the streets filled with restaurants, bars, charming little art galleries and gift shops. Across a narrow stretch of water from the quaint harbour is the tiny Ile de Batz, a beautiful island well worth a visit.

DAY TRIP IDEAS

L’Aber-Wrach in Landéda (13km)
In this part of North Finistère, three beautiful, long estuaries cut into the coast. Aber Wrac’h, renowned for its Bay of Angels, is the largest. This is a small coastal village with white sandy beaches and small islands, sand dunes and coastal paths, sailing schools, a scuba diving centre, restaurants, cafés and shops. Out at sea and a few kilometres west you will find the Ile Vierge (Virgin Island) which has the highest lighthouse in Europe. Another lighthouse on the island of Wrac’h with a fort on an island opposite called Fort Cezon. Also closeby and not to be missed the pretty hamlet of Menez-Hom in Kerlouan. Nestling behind huge, oddly shaped stones, this picturesque fishing village, with its thatched roofs, certainly has retained all its charm. There is so much to do in the area, you will be spoilt for choice. Should you continue further west, Aber Benoît, famous for its oysters, is also popular with pleasure boaters and fine sandy beaches.

Brest (26km)
Naval port, nestled in one of France’s most beautiful natural harbours. There is lots to do in Brest: the outstanding cable-stayed Pont de l’Iroise Bridge, a stroll along the lively quays as far as the castle museum, and of course Oceanopolis, a large aquarium with marine wildlife in tropical, temperate and polar zones, including seven shark species.

Island of Ouessant or Ushant
The island is the north-westernmost point of metropolitan France. The island proudly faces the Atlantic Ocean which is battered by the winds. With superb landscapes, lighthouses and treacherous seafaring heritage but especially for its indigenous sheep, a day trip to the island is well worth the visit! Boat crossings from Brest 26km or Le Conquet (32km).

Méneham to Pontusval (30km)
Several kilometres of sandy beaches in what is recognised as one of the most beautiful coastal stretches of northern Brittany. After a long day walking along this amazing coast why not pay a visit to the small hamlet of Méneham with its inn by the sea. There you can enjoy a well-deserved rest with a bowl of cider and crepe.

Roscoff (60km)
The seaside town of Roscoff is a picturesque and charming port, home of the onion Johnnies. In August the town goes onion crazy with the Fête de l’Onion and you enjoy onions in all their forms whether in a classic onion soup or a tart. Other attractions include the wonderful botanical garden, a 10-minute walk from the centre of town and Sainte Barbe’s Chapel, situated on a rocky headland offering panoramic views of Roscoff, the coastline and Ile de Batz. There are numerous restaurants in town where you can enjoy the famous crepes bretonnes and taste fresh fish and seafood.

Le Conquet (32km) Most western port of France with lots of character and still unspoilt. Boat trips to the Islands of Ouessant or Île-Molène are available. Just north of Le Conquet you will discover sites of great beauty such as the peninsula of Kermorvan with its ancient fortress, the vast beach of Les Blancs Sablons or the headland Pointe Saint Mathieu with its semaphore, light house and the remains of the abbey.

Morlaix (69km)
Medieval town with an impressive 19th Century viaduct. Morlaix has a very historic centre with cobbled streets, 16th Century half-timber houses and a beautiful bay. Visit the imposing Chateau du Taureau, take a boat trip out to the seven small islets which are a bird reserve and home to 60,000 puffins in the winter. Stroll across the charming Ile de Callot at low tide and discover the pretty coves and beaches scattered along its shore.

NEARBY ACTIVITIES
The region offers many sporting and leisure activities.
Diving: Saint Pabu (1km).
Paddle boarding: Porspoder (17km).
Golf: Golf de Pen Ar Bed (16m), Golf de Brest Les Abers (18km).
Tennis: 2km.
Aqua West Park: St Renan (19km).
