“I can sum up the entire experience of booking through yourselves and the villa itself in one word – Superlative! Such a wonderful, relaxing time – the villa is clearly very well loved and it felt like a real privilege to be able to stay there. The facilities are lacking nothing, the setting almost surreal in its beauty and the location so perfect that you felt everything was within a short 15 minute drive. The key holder was supremely helpful with organising our visit to the vet for the return journey admin too.”

“We very much enjoyed our stay at Villa des Maquignons. The villa felt spacious yet homely and there is plenty of space to relax and enjoy the beautiful views in all directions. The kitchen is well equipped and the terrace provided us with the perfect place to enjoy peaceful evening meals and barbeques complimented by wine from the neighbouring vineyard. We made good use of the pool which is large enough to get some lengths in. Tessa met us at the property on our arrival with a very warm welcome and gave us a very informative introduction to the property. The villa is conveniently located, in close proximity to the many hilltop villages in the area. There is a well-stocked farm shop at the bottom of the hill (a 5 minute drive) and a good sized supermarket within 15 minutes’ drive. We had a very relaxing stay. In terms of the service provided by you and Select Villas. I found the booking very easy and you have been very helpful and easy to contact. The email regarding the security deposit arrived in the timescale I was expecting and the instructions that came with it were easy to follow. The deposit was returned in a timely manner.”

“We had an exceptional stay at Villa des Maquignons. Everything about this villa has been carefully thought through. It has been sympathetically renovated, with beautifully appointed accommodation and a lovely feeling of cool space. There are superbly comfortable beds, crisp linen, an extremely well-equipped kitchen, and most welcome aircon. The huge pool deserves a mention, with its views out over the vineyard and ancient olive trees to sit under. The layout is excellent for families too, including two separate sitting areas, spacious bedrooms and a bathroom each. There are plenty of places to sit out, and we ate outside for every meal during our 2-week stay. The location of the villa is exceptional for exploring, and its setting – in the middle of vines and lavender – is unrivalled. I wish I was there right now! Christophe at Select Villas, and Tessa who is onsite to welcome you, made every aspect of our holiday so straightforward, from the initial booking and check-in information, to checking out at the end of our stay. Communication is key, and both Christophe and Tessa are hugely responsive, with our very few questions answered immediately. A five-star service for a five-star property; everything about our holiday was perfect. Cannot fault it.”
